The three-day Desert and Mountains excursion we booked with Cherg Expeditions starting from Ouarzazate turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. It packed all the landmarks of southern Morocco including the most scenic kasbahs, the Todra Gorge, the magnificent landscapes along the Valley of Roses and the dunes of Merzouga / Erg Chebbi. It was a good balance between guided visits, nature walks and some pretty significant driving. Our driver Chérif was very personable, professional and super knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and was always open to questions and requests. The luxury camp in Erg Chebbi was really memorable, giving us a dreamy taste of the desert. The tent accommodations were beautiful and way more comfortable than we expected, and the desert feast and campfire music helped us make special memories. Again the staff was super attentive.
