Ounila Valley Nature Walk

Description

Depart in the morning from Ouarzazate to the Ounila Valley, a part of the main caravan route from sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech. Stop for a photo at the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue on a traditional winding mountain road through the narrow river valley connecting Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet and see some of the most beautiful landscapes of Morocco.  Trek on foot through Ounila Valley and majestic kasbahs. Continue to the village of Telouet. Stop for lunch and visit the famous Kasbah Telouet, one of the former residences of Pacha Glaoui and the highest kasbah in the Atlas Mountains and southern Morocco. Return to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountain pass of Tizi-n-Tichka via the villages of Agouim and Amerzgan.
